Perfect for my needs
This helps to make grinding a recoil pad so much more easy! If you are using a overly thick pad , you will need to get longer screws ( Home Depot had what I needed for cheap! ) . This took a lot of guess work out and made it much easer to complete my job!

GraCoil Universal Fitting Fixture
Easy to use tool to fit your recoil pad to your stock. After you've scribed the flat surface of the recoil pad by tracing the end of your stock... Simply adjust the width of the two retaining posts to the exact width of the holes in your recoil pad. Place the pad face down on the fixture, tighten the wing nuts to secure the pad for grinding. Carefully grind the pad to the scribed line. To profile the toe of the pad, simply adjust the angle of the fixture to duplicate the stock profile. The tool is easy to use, very effective ,efficient and makes a nice finished product.

I have owned several of these jig through the years and they all were made by other manufacturers. This is by far the best one I have ever seen and is so rugged that it will probably be the last one I will ever need to buy. The instructions that come with it are weak, but if you are a gunsmith you know how to install a recoil pad already.

This fixture is terrific. Having no experience fitting new recoil pads to my shotguns, I was able to get a factory look to my pads. The very FIRST time. Simple instructions, and a simple jig made it possible for me, with little mechanical skills, to get it right.

Purchased a Miles Gilbert one from another vender. It was pad manufacture specific. Could not use. This one perfect! I have completed two so far.
It will do in a pinch
Its a nice supplement to a real recoil jig. Having to stop and change from the toe to the heel end of the stock is kinda a pain. I much prefer the hanging style jig I have where I can set the angle and grind it all at once. Th one advantage to this little guy is that it can be used on other sanders. So if youre crammed for space this might be a great solution.

Overall it is a well built product and I will use it in the shop but the screws are too short for the first recoil pad I tried it on. I flags to get larger screws. Other than that, its great
