What is the GRACO CORP - GraCoil Universal Fitting Fixture?
Firmly secures GraCoil, Graco Adjustable Butt Plates, recoil pads, or other butt plate hardware while cutting and grinding to proper size and contours. Unique design lets you remove most of the excess material quickly with a band saw, while preventing damage to the part caused by excessive heat buildup from prolonged grinding. Allows you to set the correct heel and toe angles of butt pads and hold them while grinding. Multiple screw holes in the mounting plates provide compatibility almost all types of hardware and recoil pads. SPECS: Aluminum, anodized, matte red. 4' (10.2cm) long, 1?' (3.8cm) wide, 1-13?16' (4.6cm) high. Includes mounting hardware and Allen wrench.

Perfect for my needs
This helps to make grinding a recoil pad so much more easy! If you are using a overly thick pad , you will need to get longer screws ( Home Depot had what I needed for cheap! ) . This took a lot of guess work out and made it much easer to complete my job!

GraCoil Universal Fitting Fixture
Easy to use tool to fit your recoil pad to your stock. After you've scribed the flat surface of the recoil pad by tracing the end of your stock... Simply adjust the width of the two retaining posts to the exact width of the holes in your recoil pad. Place the pad face down on the fixture, tighten the wing nuts to secure the pad for grinding. Carefully grind the pad to the scribed line. To profile the toe of the pad, simply adjust the angle of the fixture to duplicate the stock profile. The tool is easy to use, very effective ,efficient and makes a nice finished product.
