High quality - not just for .308
I replaced the hammer in a Colt M4 Carbine lower that was mated to an HK MR556A1 upper with this hammer. The factory Colt hammer would not contact the HK firing pin disconnect and allow the firing pin to strike the primer. This hammer works. It is the same high quality as a factory Colt, but in a "mil-spec" configuration that works with an HK upper. By the way, this hammer is not just for .308 ARs as indicated in the title. I used it in a 5.56 mmm rifle. This hammer also seemed to lighten the trigger pull. It must be the slick finish on the sear surface.
