What is the SUREFIRE - AR-15/M16/AR 308 WARDEN?

The SureFire Warden Blast Diffuser directs the concussive blast of the muzzle forward of the weapon system and the shooter instead of venting to the side as seen with stand-alone muzzle brake devices. This aids in reducing the overpressure and flash felt by others to the immediate left and right of the shooter’s firing position. The Warden securely attaches to any SureFire SOCOM 5.56 or 7.62 muzzle device through the same patented SureFire Fast-Attach® system found on the SureFire SOCOM suppressor series. Additionally the Warden aids in minimizing dust signature when firing from a prone position that would traditionally be seen when firing with a standard flash hider or muzzle brake. Stainless steel body with Cerakote finish.

When flash and recoil are not friends
About the hardest test for a flash/recoil suppressor is with rifle-caliber pistols. My SiG P556 had a fireball about ten feet in diameter when fired indoors in low light. It also brought complaints from everbody on the firing line, including me. The Surefire muzzle device plus can produced a narrow flash about a foot long, along the direction of the bore. It was still as loud as ever, although even noise was directed downrange, too. There was also a reduction in the chance of being temporarily deafened and blinded by your own weapon. The convenience is great, but the improvement in low-light performance is a real benefit for serious work. The setup isnt cheap, but the benefits outweigh the costs.

I love my Surefire Warden
The surefire warden forces the burning gases exiting the muzzle directly forward of the shooter and any shooter to the sides. Thus relieving the shooters at your side or even teammates from the concussive slap of your break. If you are an active shooter who plays in the dust it rids the shooter of choking clouds of dust and rocks that we allno happens when prone behind blockades, tire hubs ect....The Warden works well with either a break or a flash hider and must be the surefire flash hider and break. The warden is not cal specific however maxes at .30cal. With .30 or 7.62 being noted I have tried this on my .308 win. The rifle gives off zero dust signature! I hope this info is helpful, I love this product!!
