MAXIMA FIXED RINGS

MAXIMA FIXED RINGS Reviews & Ratings

Maxima Fixed Rings are designed to be the strongest, most durable fixed mount system available. Typical steel scope mounts in this class use only 2 screws per ring, have a narrower clamping band and in most cases only absorb recoil in the front ring. Maxima Fixed rings utilize 4 T-15 Torx style socket cap screws for secure optics mounting. The Maxima Fixed series fit Weaver style cross slot bases and incorporate a Warne square stainless steel recoil control key in both the front and rear rings. This ensures a “no slip” positive recoil surface across the entire slot of the base and is capable of withstanding the heaviest of recoil. The Maxima square recoil key also protects against swaging or peening of the base when used on softer or less durable materials. The Maxima Fixed ring band width is also substantially wider which offers more ring to scope clamping area to hold the optics firmly in place. The Maxima Fixed Rings are available in a durable DuPont power coat finish in either gloss or matte black and also an electroless silver nickel finish. Warne Maxima scope rings are designed to fit Warne bases as well as all Weaver cross slot and Mil-Spec Picatinny style bases and rails.

SPECS: Steel, powder coated Black (Reg.), Matte blue (Matte), or Silver Alloy in matte Silver (Silver) finish. Height measured from top of base to inside bottom of ring. Available in Low, .250" (6.35mm); Medium, .375" (9.5mm); High, .525" (13.3mm).

Thats why they are called maxima!!!
These rings are the best on the market. For those of you that have doubts about verticaly split rings, don't. The design is far better than traditional horizontal ring. The design elimanates the right and left canting problem when mounting you're scope. And the large contact surface of the warne rings give a absolute no slip grip on you're scope. I have these rings mounted on a warne 20 moa.1913 pictinny rail, and it is the strongest ring base combo i have ever used. DON'T wast you're money on other more exspensive rings that usually arnt even made of steel like these are.Worth thier weight in gold.

I own several Warne ring sets... and in a few minutes I'm going to own another set!

better than expected
In general, I don't like the vertically split rings, but these are so well made, I like them just fine. Because I was limited on my choices of bases for a Remington 7600, I went with Warne Maximas, and decided on these rings too. Good move. The lug gives a solid mount, and the size tolerances are excellent. Good product.

Almost returned them.
One (1) of the eight (8) screws just wouldn’t thread smoothly. It would go in a short way and catch. I cleaned them, put a little oil on them, and I was feeling really uncomfortable trying to gently encourage it to chase the threads. Not a good feeling. I did get to go in with a bit more force. Then I removed it, degreased it again to remove the oil. I’ve never encountered an issue like this with any scope rings. It’s obvious that the manufacturer didn’t check the fit. I’d hesitate before buying these again.

Worst rings I have ever bought
I wish I could give these rings Zero stars, or negative 1 stars. They are total garbage. Lug that engages picatinny falls out, it is just loose between the ring halves. Leveling the scope is like chinese algebra since the bottom and top screws affect the scopes movement. Once I got my gun to the range, it would hold zero for about 10 shots, on a 22LR. Then it would be off by 3 inches. Rezero, same problem. These rings are trash, I have never had a set of WARNE scope rings so obviously junk. Never once had a problem with there solid base construction models, but I will never buy rings like this again.

Potential Alignment Problems
While these are a well-made product of the USA, I ran into some serious alignment problems. How does a person effectively lap vertically-split rings? I ordered a pair of Leupold PRW's and a Sinclair Scope Ring Lapping Kit and achieved outstanding results.
