What is the REDDING - 6.5x55mm Swedish Mauser Body Die?

Body Dies are designed to full length resize the case body, bump the shoulder position for proper chambering, but not size the neck at all. They are made without internal parts and are intended for resizing cases which have become increasingly difficult to chamber after repeated firing. After using a body die, the case should be run through the neck die to achieve proper neck tension. Sold separately or as part of a set.

Body dies, neck sizing, competition shell holders for bolt guns
For my bolt action bottleneck cased rifles, when accuracy and case life is important, I use Redding body dies, Lee neck collet dies, Redding competition shell holders and Hornady Headspace Gauge to measure and control shoulder bump.

I had loaded a few hundred rounds and the shoulders needed bumped back just slightly to chamber. This die is perfect for that, corrected my mistake and chamber perfectly now.

Excellent product
Last year I broke one of my useful rules and loaded 300 rounds for use in my AR through the whole process including the factory crimp. I was in a hurry and did not check the cartridges as I went; some would chamber/ some would not. Used this die to bump back the shoulder a few thousandths and resize the body. Up and running. I am becoming quite a fan of Redding dies; wish I had discovered them sooner.
