What Reviewers Are Saying
Accuracy

A significant number of reviewers express frustration with the Wrangler's lack of accuracy, reporting inconsistent grouping patterns at various distances. These concerns particularly affect users who intend to use the revolver for practice and developing shooting skills, which diminishes the overall satisfaction of the product.
Operational Issues
65%
Several customers encounter difficulties with the action and loading gate, which are often described as stiff and challenging. These mechanical problems can detract from the enjoyment of using the revolver and lead to disappointment, especially for novice shooters who may struggle with loading or operating the firearm.
Value for Money
60%
Despite the operational issues, many users agree that the Wrangler offers good value for its price. The low cost and availability make it an attractive option for entry-level shooters or those seeking a revolver for casual plinking. However, satisfaction can vary based on the individual experience with product quality.
Build Quality

Wrangler 22 LR4.62
I have not had chance to shoot the gun. Because of the snow.

Best gun purchase in years.
Feels solid in the hand and points naturally. Put 600 rounds through on the first outing it got real dirty...almost gritty. Took it home scrubbed and lubed and good as new. Have a spring pack on order to smooth trigger and hammer pulls but factory is around 4#. I would recommend as a entry level plinker with upgrade potential and a lower cost of operation due to simplicity.

they last forever!!!
I have owned a Ruger in 22LR for years now and i believe its still an awesome firearm!! Still shoots like a brand new gun!!!I would buy a Ruger like this before any other brand for sure! I took my wife shooting for the 1st time after almost 20yrs of marriage and it was the gun i gave her for her 1st shoot and she loved it! Had little kick and still after many years quite accurate!!! If i can talk my wife into it im getting one of these lol Love cowboy guns! hehe

Great Value
This is a great inexpensive Revolver for plinking. A good feature is that when you open the loading gate the cylinder freewheels which makes loading and unloading much easier then other brands that require the hammer to be halfcocked. The 4 1/2 inch barrel gives a balanced feel. This is better than a 4 star rating but is less than a 5 star because the frame is cast aluminum and not steel. Since this uses 22LR only the frame material is not an issue and I expect to get many years of service

Maybe just unlucky.
For the price it is a good value if you get a good one. I can barely get my loading gate open. It is so hard to get open it literally hurts my thumb and the hammer strenght is the times that of the Ruger Single Six. I had expected it to be a little lower quality for $200, but i never expected it be a fight to load. I was thinking maybe I'm just unlucky but I have read other had the same issues I did. The accuracy is half that of a heritage. 18 rounds and it was allover the target. My single a six will cut holes. I called ruger and I have to send it back but there is a 6-8 week minimum wait time and that's if the postal service doesn't lose it or it get stolen. So it is just in a drawer in the box collecting dust.

Worst Rugers I own
Fit and finish seem good until you try to operate the action, stiff is an understatement. After oiling and working the action it became usable and then you load it.. back to square one with rounds dragging with every turn of the cylinder. Accuracy is unacceptable especially for beginners looking to learn fundamentals and build confidence. Will be sending them back to Ruger. For the price could of had Heritage with dual cylinders. If you want a noise maker that that shoots lead in general direction the Wrangler is the ticket.

Poor accuracy
Well, I actually bought a Wrangler, and Ive fired it extensively. Its a good looking single action. I bought the silver color (painted) model. I found an inexpensive leather Desantis holster for it; about $30.00. The only issue is lack of accuracy. Shooting standing or resting my wrists on sand bags, the Wrangler doesnt really shoot groups. It shoots patterns and not tight patterns. At 7 yards, I get groups about 4. At 15 yards its throwing groups around 12. At 25 yards Im lucky to have a few on the paper. I really want to like it because it looks good and handles good. It just isnt accurate! Do your own research, and youll find similar reports. Im not going to give it a good review based on the brand name. Its an awful gun.
