Lighter and easier to store than 5 gallon water cans.
I know that there is some issues that some of the seals leak, but the wax paper trick is well worth the effort so you will have fresh water when the municipal systems shut down when their generators shut down for lack of fuel. You still need a back up system to filter water

I mentioned that 3 of the 8 Waterbrick containers leaked. Wax paper solved that problem, but I really didn't like that to be used for long term storage. I contacted the Waterbrick company about the leakage. To determine if the leakage is due to a bad gasket or to a manufacturing issue with the container itself, swap the lid of the leaking container with the lid from a non-leaking container. With liquid in the container, turn it upside down. Leave it for a while. [I turned my containers upside down on doubled over paper towels on the floor. It is really easy to determine leakage. I left the container upside down for an hour .... just because!] None of the previously leaking containers leaked! This means that the gaskets were bad. Waterbrick has mailed me 3 new gaskets. Waterbrick had responded to my e-mail quickly; the representative suggested the 'test' explained above; Waterbrick stands by their product!

Convenient solution
These seem to be high-quality water storage containers. The seals in the lids are a full disk design, rather than a flimsy o-ring, so they should never leak. This 10-pack allows you to store close to 35 gal of water conveniently, either stacked in a corner, or spread out wherever there's space. And each one is light enough to easily set on your counter with a spigot attached, when it's time to drink that water; or to toss into your car for camping, hunting, your kid's soccer game, bugging out, whatever. You could easily stack these two-high in the bed of a pickup. This solution is far superior to a 50-gal barrel.

Well built water storage option.
These Waterbricks are not cheap but they are well worth the price for me. We just "downsized" our home and don't have the space for the larger water barrels anymore. And, I'm getting older now and don't want to muscle the larger barrels around. These Waterbricks are a perfect solution for us. They are easy to carry and they stack really well. It has solved our water storage issues. I have to admit I wouldn't use them to store solids. My hand can't fit through the opening though my wife's can. But for water, I haven't seen anything better built that is so compact.
Check Beforehand for Leakage!!
This is my second purchase of 8 each water containers. (The first set of 8 was from another seller, but the brand was the same.) The 3.5 gallon containers are easy to move once full. They're easy to store. They're sturdy and built well. However .... Zero containers leaked in the first 8 that I had purchased. Three of the eight containers purchased from Brownell's leaked. (That is not Brownell's issue. It is an issue with the manufacturer.) By doubling over a piece of waxed paper (Cut-Rite brand was used.), putting it between the container and the lid, and screwing down the lid, the leakage stopped. It's too bad that this had to be done, but by doing so the containers can now be used for liquids or solids. Would I buy the containers again? Yes! I would also test them before permanently storing them!
