Brownells Roll PIn Holders
Probably like many others who build AR-15 type rifles and pistols I've struggled with installing roll pins, especially the smaller sized pins. Even using a shorter roll pin starter punch to get small pins in is a challenge.
When using the Brownells Roll Pin holder matched to the size of the pin you are starting the challenge disappears! The tools hold the pin straight in place and are make it easy to position the pin straight before driving it into place. Once a pin is partially driven in it can be easily punched in all the way. I wish these roll pin holders were available years ago. A set is well worth the money.

Perfect for gas block install
After messing up my gas block roll pin that came with my BA Hanson barrel; I decided to break down and buy this tool. Makes the job way easier if you're installing a pinned gas block that uses a 1/8" roll pin. You don't have to worry about mushrooming the pin and it helps drive the pin in straighter than trying to use a roll pin punch. Only con is that it's a single function tool for the gas block; so you can't use it for anything else when building an AR-15.

These roll pin holder punches are like having a third hand. They make it very easy to start a pin into it's hole.

Wish I had bought these a long time ago. I have mushroomed the end of many roll pins and this helped a lot.
Without Hesitation!
I called to replace this pin holder since the walls cracked on me after I mistakenly used it as a punch. Since this piece is part of a complete set with holder that was a gift, I was calling to purchase a new one but didn't know which one I needed since it just has S3 on the side. Surprisingly enough, after I described the part to a tech support associate and explained that it was a gift, the gentlemen proceeded to tell me he would replace it for FREE!!!!!!! Before I even had time to comprehend what happened, I was transferred back to customer service where she confirmed that it would indeed be sent free of charge. It does NOT get better than that! Thanks again for everything, Brownells! As far as the tool goes, it works exactly as it should. That is if you don't use a pin holder as a punch. Hahaaa
Great kit
Very durable. Installed 10 roll pins so far and no visible bending in the punches or marring on my rifles. Mostly all used on AR builds. I've put them through quite a bit of work since I got them two weeks ago. Very nice tools to have have when installing a trigger guard and gas system. I used plain punches on roll pins and they were damaged/smushed every time even with a brass hammer. With these holders you can easily start the pins, then move on to a roll pin punch or starter punch. Very impressed so far.
Pin Holder Set
Bought these for my AR builds. Built a lower within hours of taking these out of the box. Worked just as required. Just have to be carefult not to let the side of the punch or your hammer mar your gun, but thats true of any tool.

I had some roll pin punches for several years. Brownells tools are wonderful quality. I finally completed my set with these and the starter punches. All I can say is, Wow, I wish I hadn't waited. They are all really nice. This place is a top notch gunsmith tool supplier.
