Howa's line of Mini-Action rifles offers a number of unique option for today's shooters, allowing them to have precision platforms tailored to calibers more-commonly seen in ARs and other modern sporting rifles. One of the unique options seen is the Howa Model 1500 Mini-Action in 300 BLK, complete with a threaded heavy barrel.


Since the Howa Model 1500 Mini-Action is a bolt-action platform, there's no reciprocating bolt that can produce loud noises during firing, and the lack of a gas system means there's no reliability issue to confront when using subsonic ammunition, one of the highlights of the 300 BLK chambering.

Great product!
I was looking for a .300 Blackout bolt action to supplement my AR-15 Blackouts, and this one met my expectations. My first two 10-shot groups, using different ammo, both came in sub-MOA. The 16" barrel makes for a compact and accurate shooting platform and weighs 6 pounds with a synthetic factory stock and no scope. The stock I used was from an older Howa 1500 SA for a .223 I have, but the action screws didn't match up with the shorter "mini" action of this .300 Blackout. I was able to make it fit with the help of a dremel, a drill, and a little epoxy, but it's not something I would recommend doing on a wooden stock, unless you're planning on refinishing it. Needless to say, I'm very happy with the purchase and would definitely recommend it!

Sweet Action
Had it out of the box and mounted into a MDT ONYX Chassis in about 30 minutes. The hard part was waiting to get to the range. Put about 50 rounds through it and called it a day. The accuracy is better than I can shoot so I'm very happy with it. I put hands on a few other Brands and thought the bolts were kind of sloppy. This HOWA MINI ACTION 300 BO is smooth as butter. My son-in-law shot it and ordered one in 300 PRC.

Amazing rifle for the price.
Purchased to build a deer rifle for my son. Placed action in a bell and Carlson m40 stock. Rifle shoots lights out with AAC 110gr V-Max bullets. 5 shot group at 100 yards, grouped at 1/2 inch consistently. Highly recommend this action.
