What is the STRIKE INDUSTRIES - Strike Iron Sight Set For Glock Suppressor Height?

Whether you're running a red-dot sight or a suppressor, you still need a set of irons that allow you to preserve accuracy and precision. These Strike Industries Strike Iron Sights are designed to give you that heighted sight picture while allowing for the use of a mounted optic or silencer. The sights are elevated to ensure absolute co-witnessing with any mounted optic, so you can have two systems working together. Each Strike Industries Strike Iron Sights are designed to provide natural light on either side of the front blade for greater focus and accuracy. The U-notch rear sight makes it easy and intuitive to obtain a sight picture, and the stepped design of the rear edge on both sights reduces glare. The sights are made from SUS630 hardened stainless steel, and the front sight is left blank so users can add the paint they need for improved focus. The rear sight features a vertical line that catches light and helps in aiming. These Strike Industries Strike Iron Standard Sights are designed to fit most popular Glock®models, including the G17, G17L, G119, G22, G23, G24, G25 and G26.

Rugged metal sights
These sights are rugged hard metal sights once installed. Have used them three times. Only complaints are about the front sight. The front sight tenon was slightly oversized in three sights and three slides. Had to be filed and interference fit into the slide hole. The metal is very hard to file. Also the front sight screw may come as a "normal" 3/16" hex head drive or a round head with a 1/16" socket/Allen drive. Nice that the screws come with threadlocking compound on them as well as a tube of blue "Loctite". Rear sight is great with a U shaped notch and a vertical rib that can be painted or left as is. Wide enough notch for a good sight picture. Front sight has a deep hole to hold paint.

Do NOT Use With Red Dot Sights
Do not buy this sight set to use with Red Dot Sight. The biggest problem with it is that it sits SO high that it blocks the lower half of the optic window. (It’s a perfect co-witness.) It might be okay to use as PRIMARY IRON SIGHTS on a suppressed handgun. Even so, it is very difficult to fit requiring filing of both the front tenon and the rear dovetail.
