A great gunsmithing tool
It is a very light hammer but small enough not to be able to damage to your gun unless you are swinging it over your head. A good addition to my workbench

It is a Hammer
It is a hammer but small (light enough) not to be able to peen over roll pins unless you are swinging it over your head. A good addition to my workbench

Not good out of the box.
STRIKE FACE ISN"T SQUARE OR POLISHED. Read the whole review. I bought this hammer to replace a "Grace USA" 4oz hammer that was actually made by Vaughn, after 4 years of use. Hammer was fine until it broke, rather than warranty it, I wanted a little better this time. I received this hammer and while it is comfortable, it also is not made by Brownells, but rather Nupla. The handle is comfortable, which is why it got the second star, but the head was NOT square at all, or even close to being polished, which all gunsmith hammers should be. I am disappointed for a $30 "gunsmith" hammer.
