Great for XTC service rifle matches
I bought 3 of these about four years ago when they were on sale. I have used them primarily on my AR service rifle in NRA and CMP across the course (xtc) matches, they stay snug, don’t loosen up and don’t crack over time
Biothane is the way to go!
For a more modern, non bolt action rifle, this is awesome. I have the leather competitor slings on old mausers and such. Cant recommend them enough. The biothane on this one is really nice. Its grippy and seems somewhat flexible even though it is not.
Great sling
I put this on my M1 garand and like it so much I'm buying one for my 700 police remington ASAP!! Works like a Turner leather sling, but the biothane is just more supple and the keepers stay put. Good strong sling.
good stuff
Works well on my M1A Scout Squad. The material is great, it's like well worn leather without the cracking and maintenance. Installation is a little bit of work as the keepers are different to modern slings, once on it's worth it. Greatly improves off hand stability
No written instruction.
It did not come with any instructions, I went to both the web page of the sling and the Brownell’s YouTube description.
The web page shows the sling threaded through the front swivel with the flat side of the hook facing forward, hooks facing towards the rifle.
The description on YouTube at .35 seconds shows the hook on the front swivel towards the rifle.

I did find a YouTube on the 1907 sling assembly.
Definitely good leather - tight sizing
Giving three stars since I'm going to have to trim down the width a bit on one of the hook ends to get the sling attached to the 1.25" swivels. It appears that the leather was mounted offset taking the width beyond spec. That is preventing me from getting one loop on due to the metal/leather combination. The free end that did not have the hooks/ring combo I was able to pull the strap all the way out and assemble it that way. One of the keeper loops looked like it was skived too far up and still assembled. Once I get it together the sling looks like it will be solid. QC should have been better but this is heavy enough to make up for that with a little elbow grease and trimming.
Not so good for competition
The material is all it is cracked up to be. If used for a hunting sling it would be great, but for competition where the sling requires adjustment for different positions, I don't recommend it. The material is very sticky when sliding on itself and doesn't adjust easily. Sometimes it is [*] hard to get the keepers to move and the straps to slide to position. Rainy conditions actually help as the water lubes the surfaces. Like I said, this would be great material for a hunting sling that is seldom adjusted. For competition I recommend staying with good old fashioned leather, like the Brownmell's competition sling with the numbers embossed on it.
