Good quality pilot, no wobble when used in the proper size bore. I had a tighter bore Mosin and this worked perfectly. I also ordered the .311 steel pilot to fit my Type 53 Mosin. If you only plan on buying one pilot to work in all Mosins get this one. If your bore is a little bigger, use a cloth patch to make a tighter fit. This pilot will be loose in the more traditional .311 bore size.

I ordered this pilot for use with an 11 degree muzzle crown tool for my Mosin Nagant rifles. The good, it fit perfect with no wobble. The bad this worked on only one of my rifles, the project gun I ordered it for had a bore diameter of less than .311. No problem I will just order the .30 caliber pilot. I could have ordered the .30 caliber size to begin with but I didn't want a loose fit or have to use a cloth patch to "make" it work. It is a quality made tool and I can see it lasting a long time with proper care. Yes it works with some Mosins. if you have multiple rifles be prepared to order both of the pilots so you get a perfect fit.

This is the one for the S&W625, it must be turned down for a nice tight wobble free fit but will not wear out after that. Well machined and concentric.
