215 mag primers.
I have used Federal 215 loading several magnum calibers with no failures. With all the variables of powders, bullets, weather I can believe Federal Champions are consistent. Consistently, as you well know, is king when loading is concerned.
Would you recommend this? Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Federal Primers
I have been reloading for over 40 years. I have no idea how many thousands of rounds I have reloaded in that time. I am not trying to brag with that opening statement rather, to show I have a certain amount of experience with reloading and the components used therein. I personally prefer CCI primers but that is just a preference. I have and will continue to use Federal primers as well. There is absolutely nothing wrong with these primers. They operate flawlessly, are made well and are commensurate in cost with all competitor's primers. Federal does use a different way of packaging than other manufacturers. As such, the only negative I can offer as to the packaging is that it is bulkier than other makes. I suppose it might be argued Federal's packaging makes their primers less likely to detonate accidentally since they separate each primer with their packaging. I do not want to make readers angry with the following statement however it is a true observation. Reloading itself is an activity left to those that are patient and detail oriented. If one is prone to annoyance or anger I might suggest to them to choose another activity. Reloading has to be precise and accurate every time in every operation performed in the process to include preparing primers for use in whatever press / device is used. I would recommend Federal primers to anyone who reloads. My final comment is directed to Brownells. I realize the prices of almost everything have risen especially lately and that "new normals" have been and are being established in pricing. I do ask however that if prices do indeed drop with the demand in reloading components starting to slow with new availability please drop your prices as well. The "new norm" does not have to be so high if component prices to actually decrease. This is the most I have even paid for primers. Thank you for reading and listening.

Reliable Primers
These are perfectly fine primers. I've loaded many thousands of cartridges with Federal and CCI primers, mainly 9mm Luger and 5.56mm. The novice reloader who initially gave this good product a 1 star review and unfairly skewed the rating is mad because he somehow got bamboozled by the cardboard tabs holding the plastic tray in each sleeve of 100 primers. You can be confident in these.

Federal Primer Review
As a Life Pistol Master, I have reloaded more than 500,00 rounds and the only FTF was with an early Savage 110 in .338 Win Mag. I had a shallow firing pin indent so I disassembled the bolt and adjusted the firing pin strike. I can not recall ever having another failure to fire. As to the occasional shooter who spilled his first package of primers on the garage floor, the answer is practice, practice, practice...preferably over a reloading bench and wear safety glasses.

fair price
they will get the job done,,and at a fair price for these days,

unsafe packaging
Primers are inherently dangerous. Therefore, packaging these in something that's both difficult to fully open, but easy to partially open, and is also prone to spillage is a recipe for disaster. Spilled 10 of these on the ground trying to get the package opened. Found 9. There's still one floating around my garage, so that's safe. will not buy federal primers again.
