Great flashlight
Happy with this weapon light. Puts out a good amount of light and tightens up nicely to rail.

So far no problems
It is easy to install, great price point, solid mount, and tape switch, definitely waterproof have trained in the rain and snow several times with this light. And I mean RAIN and SNOW, was worried about the tape switch not being waterproof since the rating does decrease with the switch but ill tell you it is as advertised. Great light output and love the programmability, have it set for low high on the tape switch. I do wish you could set it to low high and then strobe but that is not one of the program settings you have to give up the strobe to get the low first click.

I Own Two
Well-made, quality finish, lightweight aluminum, remote-switch, easily mounts, bright-light, perfect for a self-defense/home-defense rifle or shotgun. I've had one on an all-rounder AR for about 3-years, probably 3K rounds or more, and have never had to tighten the mount, never had a fail for the remote switch, never had glass fail or break in the lamp. I trust these lights and when I needed one for my new semi-auto shotgun defense build, I knew I wanted to stick with the Rail Mount 2. Currently mounted on a Stoeger M3000 Freedom w/ Pistol Grip, Nordic Components Barrel Clamp with 1.5" Picatinny on the right side, and QD mount on the left. The light sights about 1/4" behind the tip of the barrel and mag tube, so there's no barrel shadow, and remote-switch is fed between between barrel and mag tube to the left-side fore-end, where my hand sits. Time will tell if this holds up to the recoil and abuse of a shotgun, but I'm confident. I recommend this product to friends and would recommend it to anyone else interested in a quality, affordable weapon-light.

Excellent light
This light is very bright and has just the right combination of pencil beam and wash. Paints the object perfectly and gives enough wash for good situational awareness. Love the integral mount. Just ordered another one.

A Must Have!
If you're looking for a high quality weapon mounted light but you don't want to break the bank, this is the light you want. Very easy and quick to attach and remove off the rail. Locks up tightly. The pressure switch is very high quality and will last for years to come. You have 3 program modes to choose from: high/strobe(single press is high mode, double tap and hold for strobe mode). Second mode is high only and the 3rd is low/high.

Great dual-fuel design
Purchased specifically for the ability to use CR123A battery or AA battery. Works with both batteries and includes great accessories/options from Streamlight.

Great All Around
This weapon light has got to be one of my favorite all around lights for a long gun. I own several competing models such as Arisaka and Surefire to name a few. While I love those lights each of them has a different purpose. The Streamlight Rail Mount 1 is probably my favorite light for all around use. It has a good spill for indoor use and periphery. It's not so bright that it would blind you. It has a respectable throw for outdoor use and identifying potential threats...maybe out to 75 yards comfortably. Maybe further but that's a decision one must make on their own. I haven't really tried it with AA batteries at all, CR123s are prolific enough at this point that I don't think that feature even really matters. It's still cool though. If that's what creams your twinky. For the price and someone not yet knowing exactly what they need this is a fantastic option. I don't think you can go wrong. Even if you grow out of it on a "go to gun" you can still probably find a home for it on a second gun. I've run it on everything from AR pistols to rifles and even shotguns. This thing hasn't failed yet. I can't find any real complaints about this light. I guess if it didn't weigh anything that would be a plus.
