I used this to convert my Sako P94s for benchrest use . The rifle is a sporting rifle but just happens to be the most precise, accurate gun I own . With this adaptor plate , my groups on my Sako greatly improved for bench shooting . It will now outshoot my rifle that was custom made for benchrest shooting . I actually had one 5 shot group measuring 0.052! My prior best group without this plate on my rifle was 0.12 . Unbelievable. It prevents the slim forend of the sporter stock from canting .

i used on facory cz 452 and it works fine. because of unusual forend design i added small piece of wood between stock (1/8" plywood) betwee n adapter and stock to get a more level install out of it. other than that it was good to go.

Pros -Works as advertised and makes those skinny hunting stocks ride the bag like a boss. Cons - Takes a little time to get it setup and trying to get the stock in the middle of the adapter, but not bad Overall - Awesome product and REALLY helps. Would buy many time over again.

I put this adapter on my Remington 700 Police .308 which has been modified for benchrest. Made all the difference. Rides the bag beautifully. Am buying a Remington 40XB 6mm and will put one of these on that gun as well!!!! Just one little suggestion....PAINT IT BLACK!!!!

Ordered this for my Winchester pre A 52. Like to shoot benchrest but did not want to change my stock. This product works perfect on my gun able to keep the gun steady in the rest. Was able to shoot my best score at 100 yards because of this product.

keeps the gun stable. I bought it to help my stock rifle ride the bags better at club shoots. This was a much needed upgrade. Increased my scores for sure.

Prior to installing this adaptor, attempting to get great results from my sporter stocked rifle was difficult. Even the slightest change in the cant of the rifle made the crosshairs move off he bullseye. I definitely wasn't getting the most accuracy from my premium barrel and ammo. I didn't have a stud installed so I had to do that myself which was relatively easy. Just measure over and over til your positive you know where dead center is and make sure your drill is perfectly straight when drilling the hole. After installing I tried it out on my Caldwell BR rest and was THRILLED! Once the crosshairs were on target they stay there without any movement. After recoiling, all that has to be done is to push the rifle back into place and the crosshairs are right where they were before the shot. Great product...I highly recommend it for anyone using a thin forearmed rifle off a mechanical bench rest! The only con for me is that I wish the base was a less flashy color, maybe black or grey.

If you want to shoot a sporter from the bench, this is the way to go. It will make all the difference in the world in your score. I own one and am buying two more

I have installed four of these recently. They are a snap to install and lock up well. That being said, all the stocks that I installed them on were upper ended target stocks, composites, kevlar, glass etc, and the bottom of these stocks are not always level to the rails on the action. In fact they were far off. One must be prepared to shim them to get level. I used s small strip of rubber matting for tool boxs to do the job. Also the two bolts are too long, and have to be ground down. Thats bad. And lastly the pukey green color.

Because I don't want to modify the stocks on my rifles, I thought I'd try this adapter. The first thing that struck me was that it was light enough that it didn't seem to affect the rifle's balance too much. I've used it on two different rifles, one with a synthetic stock and the other with a walnut stock. Both rifles have similar contours in the forestock, so there shouldn't have been that much of an issue. However, with only two setscrews to hold the adjustment and being located in the center, the side flanges of this adapter tend to swivel. Since both of my rifles are scoped, it's difficult to reach in with one hand to hold the flanges tightly against the stock, and then try to tighten the setscrews with the other. Invariably, the side flanges will "swivel". I'd suggest having 4 setscrews, rather than only 2, located at the "corners" of the "box". Even after placing the rifle upside down and trying to adjust the adapter, it would not hold its grip well enough, especially on the walnut stock. The relocation of those center screws to the corners and addition of two extra screws on the opposite corners would make a difference in the ease of adjustment, in my opinion. The felt pads have started to strip away with only 3 uses, and I think longer pads would be better than just the 4 "button" pads. I suppose if this adapter were to be used with just one rifle, it would be less of a hassle, but since I do use different rifles, I don't believe that buying multiple adapters is practical, especially since these don't hold that well.
