Does not disappoint
Works great, plenty of working time, easy to mix, fast enough cure time, stays in control--stays put, very good adhesive strength, easy to grind away excess, and cures very hard. You cant go wrong with 10110. Some have complained about trouble with removing the air bubbles/voids, but i just dont see how this is a problem using the right tools to lay it in place--havent seen it. If only we could die it brown, i would give it 6 stars. 😁 This stuff reminds me of the performance of that other Steel Bed product but with a more reasonable price and just as good or better.

Great Product
I've used Devcon extensively for years to bed rifles. It is very consistent and provides excellent results every time. I feel it it the best product out there for bedding firearms.
Like Steel Rifle Stock Bedding Compound
Found out about this product from my gunsmith who uses it extensively. I just used it to bed in my 375 H&H into a laminated wood stock. Had good results mixing by volume but the instructions also have an option for mixing by weight. It is definitely strong. Will be using it on my next rifle build bedding job. Use plenty of release agent on your rifle and make sure its only where you want it. It is sandable and fileable but it is it is tougher to get off than the other bedding epoxy that I have used. On the downside keep in mind that as opposed to a clear epoxy, you likely can't dye it to change its color, so it can't be used to to fill or repair exposed areas of a stock (for instance) without the repair being clearly visible. Good stuff for sure.
Super product
This stuff is great! Take your time mixing it thoroughly there is plenty of time for a full bedding project. I was shocked at the long period before set up. 45 minutes actual work time. It adheres perfectly to my stock and Brownells pillar set. Looks great too. I believe it is a solid product and appears it will never fail. Time will tell. I used this on a .50 cal Magnum muzzle loader which had stock plastic stuck to the barrel from years lack of solid support. Stock was very solid but just could not take the abuse of a magnum load. This stock is rock solid now
Preferred Bedding Material
I've tried several products over the years, but this is the best for bedding. The consistency makes it easy to work with, it does not shrink, and it provides durable bedding. Use it within a year of opening; it will dry out.
Works great for me!
One poster said this stuff wouldn't stick to synthestic stocks - but it sure works ok for me, just have to know how to apply it right. I have bedded many stocks with it over the last 25 yrs and never had any problems using it. I use Brownells release agent - good stuff. Can also use floor paste wax or Pam Spray oil. My only complaint is the shelf life, wish is was longer.
Very pleased with the results
I used this to bed a benchrest rifle. The stock is a Kelbly's model and I could not be more pleased with the results. I used Brownell's spray release agent and the bedding job turned out with no flaws and the action popped right out when the material had cured. I have also used the Steel Putty with equally good results. The aluminum putty seems to save a little on weight without sacrificing any appreciable strength for the application.
Expensive, but good stuff
I have bedded several rifle actions with it and have been satisfied so far. I like the putty because it's easier to control the application as it doesn't run like the liquids or gels. I use Kiwi neutral shoe polish as the release agent (see the article on stress free pillar bedding on 6mmBR.com) and it has worked fine. Because the putty is so thick, it can be a bit of a challenge to measure the proportions accurately.
