Very Satisfied
Excellent experience with Brownells. The service was outstanding from start to finish. Shipping was extremely fast, and communication throughout the process was clear and timely. The order arrived exactly as requested, with no issues at all. I will definitely continue buying from them and highly recommend them. ( I post ir this review in Google )

My Favorite Guide Rod
I have talked about this in other reviews, a one piece rod that is technically not because it's two pieces threaded into itself to create a one piece Are not my favorite because I don't like the design. EGW makes really good quality parts out of great materials so I like a solid one piece rod and for that reason I think you get a lot of bang for your buck and it's worth every penny this is a high quality part and it definitely feels like it. I highly recommend it.
Excellent Product
This really adds some heft to the muzzle and really helps me control recoil on timed and rapid fire strings!
Fantastic Product
This is an absolutely fantastic product. The additional weight, strategically placed under the barrel, helps to stabilize the firearm during cycling. Is it effective? Yes, enough that it is considered an "unfair advantage" to have one in your gun during many firearms competitions. If you plan to compete in IDPA or some divisions of IPSC, best to leave it out. It is most advantageous when performing "double trap" drills. Personally, I use these in both my 1911 and Glock. I swap it out for a stainless rod when going to sanctioned competitions, otherwise it's in my gun. It is probably worth noting that some competition shooters (not me) find that tungsten wears out and will break through protracted use. Bear in mind that this would be the sort of high volume shooter who puts tens of thousands of rounds through his guns. I shoot a lot, but not enough to worry about this occurring. Regarding the earlier reviewer who downgraded this product for it's difficulty of disassembly... that's not a fault of this product. Any 1911 that uses a guide rod is best disassembled with a purpose made tool that costs merely a few dollars.
The best performance to expert shooters
Stunning presicion for the muzzle
Great Product.
On my Spingfield 1911 it dropped in and i didnt have any problems with it. A good product but a little on the pricey side.
Great product but caution
Product is fine, bad design, good price. The weight this adds makes it easier to get back on target fast, but be sure to order the special rod for STI if that's what you need. Next time I do this I'll order the two piece rod or one with a small drilled detent to insert paper clip to remove the rod/spring/plug assembly. With the reverse plug it is almost impossible to take the spring and rod out. You have to push the plug all the way in, then with your OTHER two hands hold the plug with the compressed spring and rod and maneuver it out of the slide. Just in case you think you are strong and can do this, remember all the parts are well oiled.
