ATHLON OPTICS - MIDAS HMR 2.5-15X50MM SFP ILLUMINATED RIFLE SCOPE

I've been around firearms and hunting all my life. I was lucky as a young man to have an uncle that dragged me around as a little kid, shooting, hunting and fishing. I was never rich and could not afford the best of the best. I made due with what I had to spend. Now after over 30 years as a LEO, I finally retired and had time to get back into a second childhood and back to the shooting sports. But still on a fixed income, there is not a ton of money to spend on 3-5 K glass. This scope filled a nice void on my new Howa 308 carbon 24 inch barreled action. The glass is crystal clear and with the NRG chassis, the scope centers nicely and edges of FOV is clean and crisp. The recticle on the MOA version is very clean and easy to see, even with my old eyes. Turret adjusts with definded clicks. Overall, for the money its a great scope and with a starting power of 2.5 magnafication, makes for a nice hunting scope, but also with 15X makes shooting at 300 yards a breeze.

This scope was recommended to me by a couple of folks that I know and trust. I put the first on a Bergara B-14 Trainer in 17 HMR. I was amazed at the clarity of the HD glass and loved all the features! I bought another for a 17 Hornet. Same thing. The third is going on my 300 Ein Mag. I have been told it can handle the punishment. If it can't there is a lifetime warranty!
