What is the DANIEL DEFENSE - AR-15 Lower Parts Kit?

Daniel Defense is proud to offer this kit for those interested in assembling their own AR-15. Although there are many manufacturers of so-called MIL-SPEC parts, we have gone to great lengths to ensure the parts they provide are of the highest quality and compatible with a wide assortment of available receivers. However as they have developed this kit we have seen a wide variety of lower receivers; some from “manufacturers” of questionable quality. Consequently some of Daniel Defense’s parts may not fit properly in some of these receivers. Daniel Defense always recommend purchasing the highest quality parts available to assemble your AR-15.

Good LPK
I would recommend this lower parts kit if you need one for your build it would definitely do the trick. I have purchased several of these over the years and never had a issue with them. Granted there's nothing special about this kind of a plain Jane part kit that works.

Great LPK Except for Bolt Catch Spring
I bought this kit mainly for the grip and ambi safety. All parts are high quality, but the bolt catch spring was too strong for my SiCo SCO15 lower that caused some issues. This likely doesn’t affect most lowers, and that is a minor part. I would still recommend this kit and buy it again, just with an extra bolt catch spring.

Disappointing Features and QC Issue
The parts kit was disapointing: 1. The channel inside the trigger was too shallow and the disconnector was not seating inside properly. I had to use a leftover PSA trigger to fit the Daniel Defense disconnector. 2. The trigger pull weight is substantially heavy and has decent amount of creep before breaking. 3. The ambi-safety was too long and interferes with my shooting hand index finger. I would defenitley not recommend getting this kit. Only good thing was pistol grip was decent. Get a BCM parts kit instead.
