BERGARA - B-14R 22LR Barreled Action 18" 10+1

Very impressed with this barreled action fitted in a stock with very little work, couldnt of asked for a better project

I bought this hoping for a lower cost alternative practice rifle and I believe it will fit that role perfectly. The barreled action was packaged well for shipment and once I brought it home I was able to quickly attach my Masterpiece Arm chassis and a spare R700 short action scope rail to the action. Fast forward to the range and I found this barreled action to be quite accurate. Given the current ammo shortage I was limited to what I had on hand, Wolf Match Rifle, Wolf Extra Match, SK Rifle Match and CCI Standard Velocity. I shot 10 shots groups and using the Ballistic-x App for data collection the four groups combined averaged .747" at 50 yards with the best being .535 and the worst .924, pretty impressive for less than 60 rounds down the barrel on a 30 degree day and a stout 14 mph wind from 5 to 6 o'clock and cold fingers. I did have some feeding issues with my magazine, round number 6-3 all wanted to posture high and hit the top edge of the chamber. Pushing the mag up in the mag well was all that was needed to alter the angle and allow feeding. So this should be a relatively easy fix but I plan to try this action in my MDT ACC also before making any changes to the magazines... Magazines, this barreled action ships with just one.

I purchased this because of its ability to use 700 Remington SA chassis and triggers. I have bought Begara in the past and have always been happy with them. Downfalls a bit on the pricey side for 22 barreled action and doesnt include bottom metal or screws I didnt need either but some might.
