GLOCK - Trigger Mechanism Housing w/ejector 9mm Gen4

if you have a gen 3 glock with 336 ejector pin, you need to do yourself a favor and upgrade to the gen 4 ejector pin. It's a must have and is a big upgrade. For something so simple it makes all the difference in the world. No more brass flying everywhere. You'll get perfect 3,4 o'clock ejection after the upgrade. It's simple to do and definitely worth doing.

The Gen 3 9mm ejector (336) is trash. It probably worked in the past, but either the ejector or something else that can sabotage it must have changed for the worse in order to make the gun eject brass straight into your face, down your shirt, or even cause stovepipes occasionally. The Gen 4 9mm ejector (32074) fixes all of these problems and is fully compatible with Gen 3 9mm Glocks - it even fits in the Gen 3 trigger mechanism housing. To replace mine I popped out the trigger mechanism housing pin on the grip and pivoted the housing up from the rear of the frame - I didn't bother doing any further disassembly. The rear end of the ejector is a thin, lone piece of steel that you can push out with a thin-bladed screwdriver. Once it was pushed forward a bit the ejector became loose enough for me to pull out from the front with my fingers. I did the same thing to the new ejector to remove it from the loose Gen 4 housing, then simply pushed it into the Gen 3 housing from the front until it was seated back as far as it would go. Pushing the new ejector in was a bit difficult with just my fingers, but gloves or a paper towel wrapped around it would have made it easy. I'm happy to report that my Gen 3 G19 now ejects cleanly and consistently between 3-4 o'clock. First image is the old 336 ejector before I removed it; the second is right after I installed the new 32074 ejector.

I took advantage of the sale to purchase these for there ejectors stamping # 30274 to replace the gen 3 ejectors stamping # 336. Gen 4 ejectors place brass at the 4 oclock position approximately 2 feet away. The gen 3 ejector flips brass down the shirts, in the face and on the arms alot. Many you tube videos feature women in tube tops and low cut blouses catching hot brass in them. These housing will work in gen 3s with very little modification but I prefer the gen 3 housing in gen 3 glocks and 80% frames as they have more material around the holding pin holes and behind the ejectors. Easily swapped out by pushing them out from behind with a thin blade screw driver then just pulling the rest of the way out from the front. Then just push them back in . Easy fix. For gen 4s these are exactly whats needed for replacement. Solid parts.

I puchase these for the ejector to replace the ones on gen 3s. I got these on sale making them very worth the moneyYes the entire trigger housing block will work in gen 3 models if you remove the tits/tabs added at the bottem of these gen 4s. But i dont beleave they are better than the gen3 blocks. The ejectors are most deffantly better and will fit in gen 3 trigger housing blocks. Simply push them out from behind and push back in place. There is less matterial around the pin holes on 4s than 3s and less material on top where the ejector sits on the 4s. Is this a negetive, I'm no expert or engineer but less material around pins seems to me to be a non advantage. The less material on top beside the ejector just a place for dust/dirt to settle in. I'm rough on many handguns which is reason why I don't like slide lighting cuts, holes. They do help cooling but are great dirt rock entrances. Just my opinion or nit pick.

The entire housing will work, without issue in a P80 frame. The only requirement is cutting off the lower bard that extends past the main housing. I tend to snip them off with a wire cutter, give it a quick sand, and the install is just like a Gen 3 Housing. The end result, is a better ejector, and what appears to be a better quality housing. Highly Suggested. Most recently, I replaced the housing included in a Apex trigger system, that had the old ejector, with this Gen 4 housing. Solved all my FTE, and ejections that came to the 6 o'clock. I too suggest going for the Apex Extractor in combo. I still get some what weak ejection but a consistent 1 foot 3 o'clock ejection from weak loads, and a 3 foot 3 o'clock ejection with +P. Prior to the combo upgrade, it was FTE/FTF problems You too, can simply remove and swap out ejectors, however, might as well use the entire housing.
