CASPIAN - Firing Pin (SS)

I bought an el cheapo stainless steel 1911, which has tons of blued parts. I am slowly replacing them with stainless steel aftermarket pieces, both for looks and for the fun of working on the gun. This firing pin is well machined, though the finish is a little dull. I will let the hammer beat the visible part to some shininess. :-) The installation was the easiest thing on earth, and it functioned well, though I have only 100 rounds fired with it. The design accommodates both series 70 and 80; you do not need to worry whether it will be the right one, whatever gun you have. I cannot say if this firing pin is better or worse than any other brand name made one, but it was the cheapest stainless steel from a big name, and I certainly do not regret buying it.

My brother bought this product for his build I am currently putting together for him and I was disappointed that the Caspian pin doesn't go through the face of the Caspian slide he ordered. I thought it could be either the wrong pin or the wrong slide so I began changing parts with my Springfield Range Officer 1911 in .45 ACP and my firing pin fits in his. His firing pin also will not work in my handgun. Trying to decide if I want to return it or bring down the OD to make it work. Again slightly disappointed that same manufacture parts don't fit together.
