New Products: CZ, Springfield Armory & St. Croix Tactical

He's as welcome on our screens as a visit from Santa Claus because he always brings nice toys! Brownells new products guru Paul Levy shows us the CZ 600 Alpha bolt action rifle in 7.62x39mm - one of the few bolt guns on the market chambered for the classic AK-47 cartridge. The M1913 Picatinny scope rails are machined right into the top of the 600 Alpha's receiver, and there's an ergonomic synthetic stock with sling swivel studs. The safety locks the trigger, not the bolt, so you can open the bolt to check the chamber, and you release the safety by pushing DOWN on the button. Paul demos the clean, crisp break of the trigger. But wait, there's more......

 

The compact CZ 600 Trail, also in 7.62x39, has the features and functions of a lightweight AR-15 chassis rifle. It has a detachable magazine, ambidextrous mag release, telescoping stock, and ambidextrous safety levers on the sides of the receiver like an AR-15. Up front, you've got an AR-style M-LOK® handguard ready for any accessory you choose to mount. Its full-length Picatinny rail runs continuously with the receiver rail. The threaded muzzle is begging for a sound suppressor! Both the Alpha and the Trail have easy-to-grasp oversized bolt handles, though with different contours, and the bolt is easy to remove for cleaning.

 

The Springfield Armory 2020 Redline in .308 Winchester is another lightweight bolt action rifle designed for hitting the trail. It comes with a featherweight (28 oz.), ergonomic Grayboe Trekker stock with a generous recoil pad and a BUILT-IN bubble level. If for some reason you want a different stock, the Redline action fits the Remington 700 stock footprint. There's a sling swivel stud at the rear but TWO up front, one for your sling and the other for a bipod. The ultralight carbon-fiber-wrapped barrel has a neatly integrated muzzle brake up front to tame felt recoil. The 2020 Redline uses readily available MDT magazines.

 

Last but not least, the St. Croix Tactical SCT-19 compact pistol frame is now available two new colors, gray and O.D. green. This serial-numbered polymer frame accepts slides and internal parts for the Glock® 19 Gen3, so you can build your perfect custom pistol with off-the-shelf parts or a handy Brownells frame parts kit.
