Smith Enterprise has developed a new National Match style Muzzle Brake using the “Good Iron” port pattern, and slimming the profile of the brake down to match the dimensions of a USGI flash suppressor. It is a 2 piece brake, with the front end manufactured from 8620 steel which has been salt-bath nitrided for a 60 RC hardness and superior corrosion resistance and durability. The adapter is manufactured from 1144 fatigue proof steel with a standard dovetail on the top and the internal splines and castle nut hole have been wire EDM cut. The adapter has also been salt-bath nitrided. The overall length of the brake is 4.25”. This brake should be legal for use in all CMP matches. Shot to shot recovery time is significantly improved, as well as recoil reduction. The brakes are marked “SEI/NM” on the bottom of the brake.
