Not USA made but 0 regret
TLDR: I put together a tactical shotgun build with the Mossberg 590 and needed a sight and what I happened to find on sale was this precious little gem. At $164 this little product is great especially when considering an Eotech or Trijicon. Here's why: Let me start with the boxing, amazing. It wasn't a flimsy little box. Though it wasn't made with beskar, it was a good quality cardboard and everything was individually wrapped and well-fitted in a sturdy foam. The dust cover, great. After unboxing I put the dust cover on the unit, without installing, and I could not get that cover off and was panicked a little about scratching the surface. I got it off and all was good. The dot, fabulous. After fumbling with the batter cover a smidge, minor design quirk, I put the unit to the test. I am still waiting for my next shipment of slugs so with a 3-moa and buckshot... accuracy is relative. The features, limited. For my purposes I am absolutely fine with the way this optic is setup. Press the button once for automatic brightness and then each press toggles manually until off. No shake to wake or auto off. The whatever: it is not made in USA. It was stamped for the Philippines, and that works for me as long as it isn't china. I hate to say it but I will cut costs if it means imported goods right now. The future, optimistic. In the lists of best uses I included self-defense, tactical, and target practice. These are for my uses and my opinion of this optic. Results may vary. I have not gone hunting yet but with shotgun hunting I think I can make this work better than the bead. For competition, simply unsure. Sorry, mates.

Great red dot
I use these red dots on all my competition equipment. I have never had a problem holding zero, no matter what I put it through. It also comes with a slip on cover which keeps it dry. Made in the USA with a no questions asked warranty.
5
Perfect of M&P CORE
This sight will mount on the M&P CORE using mount #5 and is the perfect answer to those of us with aging and failing eyesight. It will barely co-witness with the iron sights but since I do not shoot competitively I do not find that an issue. I normally use the auto adjust feature for the red dot intensity at the range and when I carry concealed. I have used the Trijicon RMR and I prefer this sight over the very expensive RMR. For me cost is no object I just seem to see the dot faster and easier using the Burris however the RMR will allow you to co-witness the iron sights. Through thousands of .40 and 9mm rounds I have not had a problem holding zero. The lifetime no hassle Burris warranty is a real plus but you already have that with every item purchased at Brownells.
5
Mounted on SW M&P Core 9mm
Was able to use one of the enclosed mounts from SW to attach to the CORE 9mm. Used bore sight laser to align and have used it through 400-500 rounds with no problems and very accurately. This sight will co-witness with the regular sights that come on the pistol. Plenty of dot types and sizes and easy to use. Has been very durable with no problems of any kind.
5
Ideal for home defense carbines
I use my Fastfire 3 mounted in the Burris shielded lower profile mount not the larger mount with battery compartment, mounted on a CX4 Storm. This allows co-witness of the iron sights though the Fastfire 3. So far I fired over 1000 using the Fastfire without need to adjust the zero. Battery life is very good, and the auto mode starts with a single button press, the auto adjust is typically the only mode need in most situations. It is very light weight and compact. While it is not as robust as some of the larger more expensive Red Dots it is well built and easy to maintain. I feel it's ideal for home defense and range use it probably won't hold up to continuous extreme use and abuse as the most robust models. My only complaint is that I wish the power button was a bit larger, as it's a bit difficult to press with the shielded mount, but it's nothing training can't adjust for.
