It's OK but...
It does mitigate some gas blowback. I tested this against a standard charging handle, a Warhammer with RTV black. I cheap fix did a slightly better job. But I'll keep the Sledgehammer for backup. Either one is better than the handle without any mitigation.

Thin, cheap feeling and uncomfortable to use. The "T" is very thin and narrow. Not user friendly. Definitely not "shtf" grade. OK for casual entry level use. Not something I'm going to use to defend my home. It's in the junk box.
