What is the BROWNELLS - Gun Storage Sock, 36"?

Stretchy gun storage sock protects the gun from scratches and small dings. Cloth is treated with silicone that helps inhibit rust, and the fabric wicks moisture away from metal surfaces. A handy tag sewn into closed end provides a place to write down make, model and other information so you can identify the gun without removing the sock. Brownells Rifle and/or Pistol storage socks are of excellent quality. You still need it ensure there isn't a high moisture issue in your storage area. the socks will protect your firearm under most conditions. especially stoage handling and transportation.

These are a must for that gun you don't shoot every week or after hunting season. They will keep your gun fresh and ready to go for a long time. Had a Sharps in the safe for several years and just pulled it out, the other day, to give it a once over and it looked like I just cleaned it yesterday, They work!

Great protection
In a full safe these really help keep guns from scratching each other. They are especially good for C&R bolt action type guns and shotguns, they fit those really well. But I do have a scoped rifle in one and some shorter rifles in them too, so they can accommodate a wide variety of long guns.
