Outstanding Long-Range Target Rifle Performance...at a Price That Doesn t Require a 2nd Mortgage
The first thing you’ll notice about the Howa Chassis Rifle is its distinctive Battleworn Flag Cerakote® graphic treatment. Its performance will keep you reaching for it every time you head to the range. The Chassis Rifle in .308 Winchester is built on the renowned Howa 1500 action favored by a broad spectrum of serious rifle shooters. It has a flat-bottomed receiver machined from billet steel, with an integral recoil lug and Howa’s forged one-piece bolt with two-locking lugs and the bolt handle acting as a third, "backup" lug.
Surrounding the Howa receiver is a rock-solid, all-aluminum chassis with an extended forend that provides plenty of M-LOK™ accessory-mounting slots. The forend free-floats the cold hammer-forged target barrel, which is capped with a Midwest Industries 3-chamber muzzle brake to control muzzle rise.
Howa has installed a Luth-AR MBA4 buttstock with adjustable height comb to give you excellent control and a comfortable shooting experience with your .308 Chassis Rifle, The stock links up securely with the chassis via a 5-position mil-spec AR-15 carbine receiver extension tube that will accept many other aftermarket AR-15 buttstocks, if you get the urge to try a different stock. MORE features:
- Consistent, clean-breaking Howa HACT 2-stage trigger with 3-position safety
- User-adjustable trigger pull is factory set a 3 lbs. (1 lb. + 2 lbs.)
- Hogue Overmolded finger-groove AR-15 pistol grip
- Plunger ejector & M16-style claw extractor
- 26" barrel maximizes the .308 Winchester cartridge’s velocity/range potential
- 10-round detachable polymer box magazine
- EGW 20 MOA Picatinny scope base & steel rings
- DOES NOT COME WITH HARD CASE
Howa includes with the Battleworn Flag Chassis Rifle "extras" that would normally cost you hundreds of dollars beyond the base price of the gun: a Nikko Stirling 4-16x50mm long-range scope AND a Buffalo River bipod with cant adjustment and 6"-9" adjustable legs (M-LOK bipod adapter included).
So there you have it: a unique-looking modern chassis target rifle that’s as up-to-date as the 10 o’clock news, with performance that used to be the preserve of expensive high-end custom rifles, all for a price that makes you ask, "Really?" Yes, really.
