We took our long-proven, ultra-tough Oxpho-Blue and made it in a creme formula that's really easy to work with. The no-drip formula gives you full control to apply this cold blue exactly where you need it. Wipe it on, and it absolutely won't run off or evaporate away. So, whether you're rubbing it in with steel wool, coarse paper towels or using the "shoe shine" cloth method, you'll have plenty of work time to get the color of the finish just right. You get the same, famously durable, Oxpho finish with less work and waste. But, don't limit yourself to guns: you can use Oxpho Creme anywhere you need to give carbon steel a quick, uniform, blue-black finish that's thin yet tough and won't add or subtract from critical dimensions.

Great blueing jog
I had an old spare barrel for a Model 97 Winchester that was too ugly to look at. Decided to try the OXPHO-Blue Creme on it. Followed the instructions carefully except that I used some red ScotchBrite on it for the bad discolorations. Three coats of the Oxpho-Blue and it looks great now!!

Oxpho
If your surface is well polished and clean you will need a generous coating and let it sit for several minutes. Polish the surface well and then wipe it clean and if need be repeat until you get the depth you are looking for on your metal. I have found I needed as many as 4 or 5 applications. Clean up surface well between each application. I use 99% alcohol after I thoroughly polish the surface with a clean Paper towel and reapply the Oxpho Blueing.
