What is the BROWNELLS - Remington 870 Deluxe Staking Kit?
Two specially ground punches make fitting the 870-ejector spring and housing onto Remington’s unique 2-step rivet a snap! The 0.070" hole in the face of the #1 tool allows you to fasten the ejector housing to the receiver with the lower portion of the rivet. The #2 tool is then used to secure the ejector spring within the ejector housing with the upper portion of the rivet. The Deluxe Kit combines the above two punches with an ejector spring rivet cutter that lets you take off just the peened area of the front rivet. This often lets you re-peen the existing rivet.

Rivet Cutter dimensions: 2.5” (6.3cm) long x 0.310” (7.87mm) shaft diameter, 0.143” (3.63mm) cutter diameter

Stacking tools
Didn't have any of the issues reported in other reveiws. They worked fine and I hit the round staking tool pretty hard. Along with the rivet cutter it saved a bunch of money.

great tool
A lot of the reviews said this was a one time use tool. I had no issues with cracking or splitting. It worked great. I almost didn't do the job myself because of this, but went ahead and tried. I was light with the hammer and just worked until I had the rivets holding.

Works great!
Works great and is a must have along with spare parts if you plan to use your 870 as a wrol/shtf gun. Easy to use and with good instructions. Had no problem with the hardening like the other gentlemen.

only for front rivet.
Both of this tools are for the front rivet. Tool with the bigger hole is for the setting the ejector (front rivet). Next, tool with the smaller hole is for setting the ejector spring (also front rivet). For the rear rivet I used a 5/32 punch, it was kind of a tight squeeze in the ejector channels but it worked perfect. The rivet is made of soft metal so the 5/32 punch worked just fine.
