Works great
Works great for GI type "delta ring" toothed type barrel nuts. For years I've used the cast long type with the goofy hooked ends and the teeth have always busted. I've probably went through a couple dozen of those things over the years, a couple I only got one use out of, cjeap junk. I just ordered two of these because I stripped the teeth off another trying to remove a nut from a customers upper. This wrench worked better than any of the other types I've ever used over the years. I might not have needed two, it seems well made, way better than those cast jobs. It worked well with a 1/2" drive breaker bar to remove the nut. If you've ever used those other ones, you know how you have to kind of force it into the nut to push back on the delta ring and it never seems to sit right and contact all the teeth squarely? This didn't do that, it pushed right onand didn't seem to want to slip back off at an angle, I think it's the way the teeth are cut into this, they are not the rounded protruding "nubs" like those cast jobs are, but instead more like actual teeth, think a reverse sprocket. The finish on the tool is well pretty janky, not sure what it even is, sort of blued with all sorts of salt spots and what looks like copper specks? Shouldn't affect function at all but sure it ugly looking. To close up, worked great for GI style barrel nut, better than any other wrench I've ever used. Good tool.

This is a neat little wrench!
I was looking for a wrench to 1. Fit an Aero Enhanced barrel nut, 2 fit over a McGowen modified HBAR barrel. I was using a 1/2" drive chain wrench with the nit wrapped in suede. That works but I was unsure of how accurate the torque is. Then I found this on Brownells website. At on $9.99 I figured, what the heck. I bought it and it fits and works very well. It also fits std. Ar15 barrel nuts.
