Works great
Works great for GI type "delta ring" toothed type barrel nuts.
For years I've used the cast long type with the goofy hooked ends and the teeth have always busted.
I've probably went through a couple dozen of those things over the years, a couple I only got one use out of, cjeap junk.
I just ordered two of these because I stripped the teeth off another trying to remove a nut from a customers upper.
This wrench worked better than any of the other types I've ever used over the years.
I might not have needed two, it seems well made, way better than those cast jobs.
It worked well with a 1/2" drive breaker bar to remove the nut.
If you've ever used those other ones, you know how you have to kind of force it into the nut to push back on the delta ring and it never seems to sit right and contact all the teeth squarely? This didn't do that, it pushed right onand didn't seem to want to slip back off at an angle, I think it's the way the teeth are cut into this, they are not the rounded protruding "nubs" like those cast jobs are, but instead more like actual teeth, think a reverse sprocket.
The finish on the tool is well pretty janky, not sure what it even is, sort of blued with all sorts of salt spots and what looks like copper specks?
Shouldn't affect function at all but sure it ugly looking.
To close up, worked great for GI style barrel nut, better than any other wrench I've ever used.
Good tool.

This is a neat little wrench!
I was looking for a wrench to 1. Fit an Aero Enhanced barrel nut, 2 fit over a McGowen modified HBAR barrel. I was using a 1/2" drive chain wrench with the nit wrapped in suede. That works but I was unsure of how accurate the torque is. Then I found this on Brownells website. At on $9.99 I figured, what the heck. I bought it and it fits and works very well. It also fits std. Ar15 barrel nuts.
Great tool
Worked as promised!!.
Geissele quality
Simple, yet effective wrench. Works well for intended purpose.
Grabs perfectly but
It grabs barrel nut perfectly. But, due to the location of the half inch torque wrench connection being so close to the teeth of this tool, your torque wrench hits the barrel nut BEFORE the tool is seated all the way in position. You will have to use a small 1/2 extension to get around this. Beyond that, I love this tool, other pin style wrenches can slip off barrel nuts and round them off. This one won't. Get tool.
Geiselle Mk16 Rail Installation Tool
The product itself did a fine job. Just what you'd expect from a Geiselle product. My only complaint is Geiselle not including the install tool with Items the price of a Mk16 Railed Hand Guard to begin with. The competition certainly does.
Just buy one
YOU MUST BUY ONE OF THESE (and have a torque wrench) IF YOU WANT TO SET UP YOUR GEISSELE HANDGUARD CORRECTLY. Geissele USED TO include this wrench with their handguards and no longer does so. The Geissele handguard barrel nut is a smooth, slick-sided tube with a hole in the side for the wrench to lock into. There is no way to get the nut to the recommended 35-45ft/lbs of torque required without using the Giessele wrench. Hand-tight is not good enough and a rubber strap wrench can't grab enough to do the job, either. You can use an AR-15 armourer's tool with the single tooth castle nut wrench. ONCE. I say "once" because it will deform the nut. How do I know all these things? Because I thought I could do without and tried all the above. It costs $20 with shipping. JUST BUY ONE.
Not bad for the money
I bought this tool to remove the barrel on my Bushmaster. It was alittle hard to push in the delta ring to get the tool lined up with the barrel nut, but it did the job. With a little filing of the pin, I was able to remove the castle nut. For the money, its well worth it
Rusted & paint flacking off
Product came rusted with paint flacking off of it, I'll probably never use it.
