BUY IT TODAY! I spent several weeks trying to loosen the last 'gorilla' screw in my BP revolver. The slot was trashed by my attempts. Proper screw driver, penetrating oil soak, all kinds of heat etc. NOTHING worked! Two wacks with the tool and it was loosened and came out. Thanks to Brownells, I will be able to replace the trashed and buggered screws with new ones plus I have a nice set of mag bits! Oh yeah, shipping was excellent! This is an absolute necessity in any 'smithen's' tool box!

I have removed some tough screws with aid of the drill press, and Kroil, heat, etc. I recently ran into a unique problem of a new rifle that had been stored for years, and the action screws were so tight, I couldn't remove the gun from the stock! After two day soak with Kroil, I was dreading the thought of having to drill out a screw to remove the action from the stock. I ordered this tool in the kit package. It is heavily built, comes with an assortment of magna-tip bits, and the heavy magna-tip adapter that comes with the kit is a must. If you already own an impact driver, buy the Brownell's adapter for the magna-tip bits. Two strikes had the screw loose, problem solved. I wish I had this years ago. It came with no instructions, but it is simple enough. Place the appropriate bit that fits the screw in the tool, place it into the screw(or test on a bench if you've never used one of these like me), turn the tool according to the markings on the tool, and rap it with an appropriate hammer. As stated, "if it's going to come out, this will do it". Great tool! With the good tight fitting bit, no damage to the screw head! I'm still surprised this screw didn't break. Notice in my review, I have just purchased this tool, I haven't used it for many years to attest to durability, etc, so the categories are based on my initial assessment. Buy the kit, save time! Well worth the cost in my opinion.

I have used it several times and it has done it's job every time. I do wish it would have come with a storage box to keep everything neat and secure. That's the only reason I gave it a 4 other wise it gets 5 stars

I'm a gunsmith and regularly encounter stuck or difficult to remove screws. I've had an impact driver for years but somehow misplaced it. The Lisle driver I received had no bits or adapter. Since it was 3/8 drive I had to order one. When attached there's so much movement in the adapter that lots of energy is lost on impact. In addition, with each hammer stroke the direction of rotation reverses making multiple strikes impossible. The adapter must be held tightly and rotated in the desired direction then held in place throughout the hammer strike.
