These reamers are manufactured by CLYMER Precision using the best M42 w/ Cobalt HSS available. (Cobalt steel is more resistant to heat and abrasion than many other high-speed steels, which dramatically increases tools life and durability)

Manufacturer grade tooling
Smooth/free cutting guaranteed
Live pilot spindle threaded for 4-40 fillister head screw to easily attach industry standard bushings (no C clips required)
Oil grooves standard in pilot spindle to allow for muzzle flush chambering applications
Industry standard 7/16” shank with integral Weldon flat and 1/4-28 female threads
Live piloted reamers allow for customer to interchange bushings and achieve the proper fit to bore
Reamers ground to industry standard SAAMI specifications

So easy a monkey could do it

This tool along with the pack of bushings appropriate for the your caliber along with a can of Kroil makes quick work of the task for a patient man. I received a new barrel with no freebore. Instead of waiting 3 weeks to get it chambered correctly and returned to me I grabbed this tool at brownells and had the job done properly in one evening. If you don't know what you're seeing in a borescope this may not be a task for you. If you do understand what you see and fit the appropriate pilot for your bore you can run this tool by hand and get appropriate length freeborn and a square symmetrical chamber. Worked like a top, I knew it would, I have always used reamers with fixed pilots in the past because that was what Brownell's had. Great improvement.

Clymer .243 Sammi finish reamer

I didn’t realize Clymer had started making reamer with removable pilots. I had a chamber that was too tight for Lapua brass that had been chambered with a Sammi minimum reamer from the 90’s before Lapua brass was available. It was too tight for the Lapua brass. Rechambered it with the new Clymer reamer and it worked very well with Lapua brass. I never used Clymer reamers because I couldn’t get removable pilot reamers from them. This won’t be the last Clymer reamer I get.

change Colt match .223 barrel to 5.56.

Change your .223 to 5.56 little at a time. tool is easy to use with the live end on it. Take a little rifling off at a time till you find the sweet spot for your rifle. Left no trace of being rechambered on case after firing.
