J P ENTERPRISES - .308/7.62 Case Gauge

I wanted a premium case gauge for my .223 Wylde AR rifles. I am very OCD when it comes to reloading .223 and this case gauge gives me the confidence of a perfect feed, fit, fire, eject. I have another brand case gauge and some sized about 50 pieces of brass and they passed the other brand gauge. I then used the JP Enterprises. 223 Wylde case gauge and I found 3 brass cases that failed. These cases would have probably jamed in my receiver. Thank You JP Enterprise and Brownells

This is the tightest tolerance gage (yes, this spelling is the correct usage for the tool as a noun) out there for 223/5.56. Defective cases that passed a Dillon 223 gage did not pass the JP gage. It saved me a lot of frustration if I were to start batch reloading based on faulty results.

I have the LE Wilson gauge and a JP SuperMatch Barrel. Since I have the JP Barrel I decided to pickup the JP Gauge and found some of the cases that fit the Wilson gauge didn't fit the JP gauge. I believe the JP gauge is supposed to be a better match for the JP chamber so that is the one I go by. I only wish it was made from stainless steel instead of aluminum. I have other JP accessories and they are top notch.

Reloaded rounds went in the gauge nice and easy and came out just as easy, therefore I "assumed" good to go. The rounds wouldn"t chamber properly in my rifle bolt would not close! Upon further review there was a slight bulge (.03)in the case (need t check press) but I feel the gauge was of no value it didn't give me any assurance of good round. In my opinion....JUNK!
