RAMSHOT POWDER - Competition 4lb Smokeless Shotshell Powder

Found this powder one night just scrolling and thought "it's available so why not give it a try". It took a little trial and error to get the weight right but once that was fixed I was impressed. Very little residue left in the barrel as with some of the more well known powders I've used and I broke as many, if not more, clays as before. It's well worth the price.

This powder flows through my measures consistently with little or no variation and seems to burn clean.

While I have just begun to use this powder I have shot 100 Doubles and 100 singles with Ramshot Competition. It is a super clean burning powder. Might be the cleanest I have ever used. As stated in the other review, the recoil is very light and the patterns are excellent. Loaded 17.3 grains with 1 1/8 ounce shot. Very quick and pleasant to shoot!!

Ramshot Competition shotgun powder is a very fine flaked powder that meters exceptionally consistently in my MEC 9000H press. Competition is light gray in color, and it burns very clean and is probably as clean as Clays. There is no graphite dust of any type in this powder so your hands, funnels and powder bottles will stay clean. The felt recoil for a 1 1/8 oz 17.4 grain load is very soft as advertised yet the shot is going about 1145 FPS. A nice powder for trap shooting and I am now developing some loads which are just a little faster range to see if it has handicap applications.
