SPEER - 30 Caliber (0.308") 165gr Spitzer 100/Box

These are excellent SP bullets, unlike other SP's I've used where the tips can vary in condition and form, these tips are solid in their construction resulting in more consistent measurements as well as noticeably improved accuracy.

Great bullets. I get excellent accuracy with them and they shoot to the same point as 200 gr Nosler Partitions in the same loading so I use the Speers for cheaper practice. I have shot a small moose and a medium caribou with these loaded in 300 win mag - performed wonderfully at about 60 yd for moose and 130 yd for caribou. Makes me wonder if I really need the fancier bullets. I hold back to 4 stars as I doubt these would be best for big bears or for really long range shooting - haven't tried them over 200 yds. Inside 200yd they are accurate and perform well.

I really like these bullets. They shoot very accurately in my 30-06 & 300 Win Mag - tho I shoot most in the 300. I use them most for 300 W target practice and go to a higher tech 200 gr for much hunting - especially if I think I'll encounter brown bears, very large moose or go for a bison hunt. But they were all I had on a couple hunts; I took small moose and medium caribou w the 300 W and they performed VERY well. I hold back 1 star only because they aren't quite up to the higher tech 200's in total performance. I always try to keep a good supply of these on hand - excellent value.
