Description

BARNES BULLETS ORIGINALS 50 CALIBER (0.510") FLAT NOSE FLAT BASE RIFLE BULLETS

Just like the bullet designed by Fred Barnes in the 1930s, Barnes Originals feature thick pure copper jackets around pure lead cores for reliable expansion and deep penetration on big game. Flat-base (FB) FN bullets have flat noses with exposed lead front. Some calibers available in SS semi-spitzer profile. Barnes Originals expand to up to 200% their original diameter and retain 70% to 90% of their original weight, helping you anchor the trophy of a lifetime.

Ammo Component Restriction
Please check with your state regulations for ownership of ammo components.

Prop 65WARNING: Lead - Discharging firearms in poorly ventilated areas, cleaning firearms, or handling ammunition may result in exposure to lead and other substances known to cause birth defects, reproductive harm, and other serious physical injury. Have adequate ventilation at all times. Wash hands thoroughly after exposure.

38-55 reloads
After some research I bought these bullets to be used for deer hunting. I used my Winchester 1885, open sights to test the reloads against factory loads. Using three shot groups to establish a pattern I found the reloads with this bullet to be consistent, often grouping within 3 inches at a 100. The best I had done with factory loads was 4 1/2.
