Works as Designed!
Holds and supports 38 SPL brass firmly to allow trimming. I've never had to trim 38 SPL brass (or other pistol brass for that matter) however I reloaded thousands of 38 SPL brass and occasionally I either damage the case mouth or it gets damaged out on the range. I shoot Cowboy Action matches, typically 3-4 a month and have collected numerous 38 SPL cases with damage so I thought I would shorten them to 38 Colt Long and Short to experiment with. This part did the trick, holds the case firmly to allow for trimming to length.
