FORSTER HAND HELD OUTSIDE NECK TURNING PILOTS

Forster’s easy-to-use hand-held neck turning tool helps you take the next step toward cartridge-to-cartridge consistency. It features a carbide cutter with a micrometer- style adjustment knob for precise material removal to give cases consistent wall thickness that improves bullet-to-bore alignment. The aluminum holder retains the case firmly with a simple turn of the knob; holds up to .592" base diameter. Large case holder available for cases from .593" to .812" base diameter. Requires a pilot that’s specific to the case mouth diameter; sold separately, see table below. Pilots are precision-ground .002" to .0025" smaller than the bullet diameter.

Kept me shooting!
I have been unable to find 6mm ARC brass so I modified some new 7.62 X 39 brass by running it through 6.5 Grendel dies, trimming to length and then through 6mm ARC sizing die. This produces very thick neck brass. Neck turning to get the .0125" thickness allows loads to be produced without the dangerous pressure that the thick neck would produce. This was a lot of work but when you can't get the proper brass to reload, Modify what you can get and continue shooting! I hope that I can get several loadings from the reformed & trimmed brass.
