marlin 336 semi finished but stock
wood is nice ,stock fit the rifle with no modification except for drilling hole for tang screw. I fitted the original marlin butt plate fairly easy. you can sand the pistol grip for a tighter smoother fit which i might some day but not needed for this old brush gun. I drilled the tang screw hole without drill press. i marked top hole then measured bottom of hole started with tiny drill bits top then bottom till holes met then bigger bits.just a little at a time check very often angle of drill take time do it straight. this was my first time im no gunsmith or woodworker.you can always take more wood off ,putting it back no fun at all. thanks Brownell for a great product at a great price. got it today on the gun in about one hour.

Replacement Buttstock
Recieved the new buttstock this evening, couple of hours shaving and sanding and it fits great. Nice to have my 336 back in action.
