Great lubricant
I have used this oil to liberate moving parts on all my firearms and to put a light coat over my firearms for protection
Would you recommend this?
Yes, I would recommend to a friend
Gun Lube
Only lubricant The gunsmith uses and recommends! He's tried them all. Great infall types of weather, Even extreme cold and heat.
Rem oil aerosol
I use this all the time. It even cleans gun powder residue as it lubes and is easy to use
Good oil, should have bought the liquid.
Nice thin oil for protecting parts and ensuring oil gets into all nooks and crannies. Spray can is probably nice for rifles, for my pistol I should have gotten the liquid oil. I spray it on a cloth and wipe down all the steel parts. Spraying on the parts puts on too much.
Rem Oil
Great lubricant, and great for a quick clean of my shotgun.
You've Got to Know What It's Good For
This is an EXTREMELY light oil. It's so thin, it's hard to apply just a little. A needle oiler would be better than the squeeze bottle with a blunt tip it comes in. It isn't meant to be a heavy duty lube. That's what grease is for. I coach a collegiate pistol team. I use it on Benelli MP90S Olympic grade .22 target pistols, which are extremely fussy. If you use grease on them, they won't function. The factory oil is also very thin, but is hard to get in the US. I'd never use it on a centerfire pistol. I also use it as a light wipe down to prevent rust.
New Rem Oil is NOT the same as Old Rem Oil
The old Rem oil and Rem Wipes smelled like traditional gun oils.
The new Rem Oil is like a bottle of plain mineral oil. The viscosity and smell are completely different than the old Rem Oil (not in a good way).
Sad that I brought the new Rem Oil and Rem Wipes over the Remington traditional formula (pre-bankruptcy and sale).
Hard to find quality products these days.
Terrible
This is the choice of those who are " first time shooters " and buy it " 'cause it says Remington on it. " - Anything else works better.
