Each shim is notched for easy size identification. Just set your die using one of the middle thickness shims, adjustments can be made easily by changing shims to increase or decrease die depth without changing the stem setting. A great upgrade to non-micrometer adjustable dies.

Just ok

These shims were supposed to be notched to indicate the thickness. Two were not but were handwritten labeled with a sharpie or something which came off immediately. I checked all the thickness of all with a 5 place micrometer and they all rounded off to the labeled thickness. They should work just fine. There was none of the rust experienced by other reviewers. The shims came packaged with what I assume to be moisture absorbent beads

I bought 2 sets and Only 2 of the 10 PCs from each set were notched the other 16 PCs were written on with a marker. As others have said they are not exact the thickness as marked but they are close.

Arbor Die Shim Kit

Received the shims in a rusted condition which caused the thicknesses to be inaccurate. Was surprised they were not of a better material. Ended up in the trash.

After having read about such shims, I wanted to try some for myself. Unfortunately when I received the set I ordered there was rust on them rendering them inaccurate intended thickness.
