What I wanted
Very easy to install and adjust. For the money, I am not disappointed. I will get another for the semi auto shotgun.
Good but...
I've had a number of HUD's including the most expensive C-more. This is my 4th of these. I like the reticule choices. I don't "lose" the simple cross hair & something about it pulls my eyes to target. I would have given it a 5 but one of the sights broke immediately...the other three are working fine in competition. Caveat: be prepared to return it if it breaks early on, but if it doesn't you can depend on it.
Great for the $
Use it on a Steel Challenge Buckmark and it has held zero for several thousand rounds. The only problem is selecting intensity, you tend to screw the battery cover off if not positioned properly.
Don't be fooled by the low price
I bought this economy site to see how I would like a holosight on my AR. Two colors and four different reticules, it's great for old eyes. Has held zero for several hundred rounds. I had planned to step up to an Eotech if I liked the concept but will stick with this till it breaks. A tough metal cover would make this site perfect. Probably not practical for rough military use but seems durable enough for civilian use.
Looked great out of the box, but...
Looked great, came with an allen wrench and a lint free cloth, and protective cover. The brightness wheel is also an on/off switch and the battery mounts in it, so if you turn it counter-clockwise it tends to unscrew the battery cap (locktite I guess or only turn it clockwise). UNFORTUNATELY, after about 50-100 shots with a buckmark camper 22lr pistol something brok with the switch making me unable to turn it on properly. I would not turn on/off properly. So I'm returning the item and buying a different red-dot that has a history of good reviews and durability.
Faulty product
I ordered two of these sights for .22 Bullseye shooting. Both malfunctioned the first time used.
