Great product
I’ve used this stuff as a gunsmith, results are fantastic if you take your time. I don’t really have anything bad to say about this product but it requires that I put in a con

Expensive but worth it
Decided to give this a shot even though I’ve always rattle canned in the past. I made sure to thoroughly prep and mask off before using it. Took my time and followed the instructions. Finish turned out excellent. Krylon is faster but this will hold up better.

Great product
Dura coat is a great finish for firearms, after curing is it almost indestructible. I have used this product in various colors for years and have never been disappointed.

GOOD STUFF
This product is pretty simple to use. Just follow the directions on the can. I chose to shake the can for 3 minutes instead of 2. use light coats, you can respray after 5 minutes, I chose to wait 10 minutes between coats. I sprayed 3 light coats then stopped. It cures in 24 hours, so the next day I repeated the spray. After mixing the can, the paint will last 3-4 days before setting up, so get stuff painted within that time frame. Be sure to hold the can upside-down and spray for 2-3 seconds to clear the paint from the nozzle between cure times. I was able to paint several items, (including my thumb) it worked like a charm.

Excellent product.
I bought this to do parts and match the Magpul FDE color on a build. I took the small parts for my AR and 1500 grit sanded them. Washed with a soap and water degreaser and dried them. After following directions on the can I painted the parts. I gassed them off with a hair dryer and recoated after 5 min of dry time. I used 3 coats total. Coating and spraying was easy. Good nozzles, even flow and kept back about 8" when applying the coats. Overnight the parts air dried. Looked good. I touched up 1 part and all parts dried 1 more day. They turned out awesome! Durable. Good coverage and sheen and durable finish. Assembled on rifle and it matched my FDE factory parts great. Highly recommend this. Will be doing many more.

Great Product
I bought this recently to apply a metal finish to an octagonal muzzle-loading pistol barrel for a pistol that I'm building from a kit. I wanted something that was close to the old fashioned "browning" process color without all the additional work and equipment required. The FDE color isn't the same as browning, but it looks good. I followed the instructions and roughed up the smooth surface of the barrel slightly with sandpaper to get better paint adhesion. I cleaned and degreased the surface with Brownells TCE. You have to shake the can for 3 min. then push the button on the bottom to release the hardener and then shake for another 3 min. to mix it up. I sprayed some paint on a scrap piece of wood and liked the color. I applied the paint in four quick thin coats, letting it dry for 10 min. between coats. I let it dry overnight before assembling the pistol. You have to be careful and apply the paint in thin coats to avoid drips or runs. I'm very pleased with the end result.

Best on the planet
Had a can of this in mat black sitting around for 3 years for a shotgun project I abandoned. Went to paint a couple old rusty steel trailer rims this week and remembered I had this. I ground off the rust pretty hastily and would have done a better prep job had I known then what I know now. Did the 3 min shake both before & after I released the hardener. I got 3 coats on each rim out of 1 can with some light air pressure to dry them in between coats. Pics just dont do it justice! Color is amazing and looks like factory coating. I had zero nozzle issues , probably due to 6 mins of shaking the can. Wish I had a case of this stuff!! Truly amazing Finnish & would give it much higher than 5 stars if I could!!

Nice
Ordered my can 09/17/18. Just used it today 02/22/19. Used the hole can to do M1A Arc angel stock, check reset, storage compartment assembly and heat shield. Came out perfect no runs.did good to point of a good shake and spray with can directly up. Just remember Magpul F.D.E. doesn't match there polymer furniture. It is darker. Will see how it holds up over time. I just cleaned with Dawn dish soap wiped dry. Let air dry. Then painted.

Great product once figured out
The first time using this product I had a very glossy finish with a few runs and a few light spots. Ended up sanding that coat down several months later. The second attempt I made sure to spray very light coats, and flash off the solvents with a heat gun between coats. It turned out great! Matte finish, no runs, and color matches near perfect to Magpul FDE. I cannot stress enough with this product, use several very light coats until you get coverage. And be sure to flash with a heat gun or blow dryer between coats. Take your time and you will have positive results.

Not bad
I bought this in black to do an AK about a year ago. It went on pretty easy, just spray on lightly and remember to flash it with a heat gun between coats. All in all the paint has held up and has no sheen at all. I'm by no means an operator so my rifles don't see a lot of daily wear. However, I don't own any safe queens. The only place I have seen any problems is where the safety selector rubs the reciever.
