The DT Carbine Stock is a drop-in replacement buttstock for AR15/M16/M4 carbines (or comparable platforms) equipped with Mil-Spec profile receiver extensions. It merges the best features of the SL® and CTR® product lines with its new dual tensioning technology, which provides greater strength and security for a more rugged and stable platform that’s easy to adjust.


The DT Stock is an A-frame style carbine stock that features an auto-engaging friction lock that’s reflexive and inert during adjustment. This produces additional tension on the buffer tube, providing extra tight lockup that minimizes movement between the stock’s lock pin and receiver extension. The result is increased durability in case of severe impacts and quick, smooth, and frictionless length-of-pull adjustments on the fly. Other features include a unique, non-slip butt-pad that matches the footprint of the SL line and incorporates the optimized curvature from the CTR, an ambidextrous adjustment lever, a rotation-limiting QD sling mount, and a 1.25” footman’s loop.

Good Stock
I like it, except that it is not as tight fitting as my Magpul CTR or SL stocks. There is a slight wobble, but not enough for me to return it or replace it. The size and feel in the shoulder is good and feels solid when actually shouldered. Have it on my LWRC IC-A5 with their mil spec buffer tube for reference. If it was a little tighter on the buffer tube it would be 5 stars.

Almost Perfect
Everything about this stock's features are great: anti-rotation QD, protected release/adjustment lever, tight fit. However, they unfortunately didn't consider us Larue RISR users. While the regular magpul cheek risers are compatible, the Larue is not. That being said, it definitely is possible to modify the stock. It just takes a bit of elbow grease.

The new isn't as good as the old.
I was pretty excited when the new stocks were coming out and pre-ordered three of them. They arrived, I'm not impressed. The older CTR stock is a much better fit and a bit cheaper. I've been considering sending these back.
