Changes.
Ordered this for my Wyhndam 1/7 twist carbine shooting rather warm 75 grain loads. Rapid fire caused many malfunctions. Swapped in a Spikes heavy buffer and good to go! Installed the hydraulic buffer in my 1/8 Rock River Varmint shooting 69 grain SMK and good to go.
Would you recommend this?
Yes, I would recommend to a friend
not for 6.5 creedmore
I tried to install on my 6.5 creeedmore and the rifle would not cycle. Yes I was using the right model but would not allow the bolt to cycle. I have used on all my other builds and works great I would swear by them even..
It's ok so far
It works, i dont feel like the reduction in recoil is worth the price. It does reduce recoil but i was hoping for a more dramatic reduction. Install was easy, stright forward. I have fired about 75 rounds with no differences in function.
Does is work? Yes. Does it last???
So I purchased this product after trying to find another Endine buffer that I have had since 2007 and still runs, and discovered they are now unavailable. I liked that this buffer was heavier than the Endine. However like the other hydraulic buffer Brownells sells, ie the green one, it too broke, after 8 months and 10k rounds half of which was lower powered 5.45x39, well before the guarantee of 10 years or 1 million rounds. This is no longer in the description on Brownells but is still on the manufacture's site. To sum up Pros: It works great on recoil. I was saving up to buy another one. I am returning it but am asking for a replacement to give it one more shot. I liked it well enough to hope this was just a lemon. Cons: It didn't last nearly as long as I had hoped. Also the reason for 3 stars. I would have given 5 up until it broke. For that reason I would recommend against using this in a duty rifle, at this time. When I receive my replacement I will update my review.
