Designed for law enforcement, sportsmen, and competitive shooters alike, these hydraulic buffers help reduce recoil, while diminishing wear and tear on parts. The sealed hydraulic cylinder is made of 17-4 stainless steel and features a nickel-plated cylinder rod with a high-impact striker cap. Hydraulic buffer easily replaces standard mass and spring buffer. Built to Mil-Spec standards, and U.S. Army tested, these buffers have been demonstrated to reduce cyclic rates, helping save ammunition and improve accuracy.


SPECS: 17-4 stainless steel, sealed hydraulic cylinder. High-impact striker cap. Nickel-plated cylinder rod. AR-15 Carbine Buffer - 3.75" OAL. AR-15 Fixed Stock Buffer - 6.25" OAL. AR-.308 Shorty Collapsible Stock Buffer - 2.75" OAL. Fits DPMS and CMMG style M-4 .308 stocks that use a 2.5 inch buffer system. DO NOT USE ON ARMALITE AR-STYLE .308 CARBINES AS UPPER AND LOWER RECEIVER DAMAGE CAN OCCUR. AR-.308 Standard Collapsible Stock - 3.75" OAL. Great Recoil reducer!
If you want to reduce felt recoil and stay on target then this is the product! I first purchased one for my AR10 and it worked so well I bought another for my AR .300 BO Pistol. Great investment!

Smoother recoil
This is my second kynshot hydraulic buffer and I am happy with both. It doesn't really lessen recoil, more changes the feel. More of a "chug/push" instead of a "snappy" feel. It is not as noticeable on the 308 but very noticeable in a 9mm AR setup. Only thing holding me back from putting them in my "serious" rifle(s), it's one more possible failure point. That being said I have run the 9mm setup for about a year and a few thousand rounds with no issue.

All AR platfor,s should use a good hydraulic recoil buffer.
My personal opinion is that the standard AR platform equipped with the standard recoil buffer would benefit from a hydraulic recoil buffer. When E. Stonner designed the AR-15 the hydraulic recoil buffer was unknown. After the invention the cost at retail was prohibitive, and so it remains an option. The proof is when you first use one. Expect to spend ~ $150 and just get one. I would get one for and AR platform caliber even the smaller .223. Really handy on the 300 blackout other heavy loads.
